Liplatus is a crescent shaped shawl worked from the top down. In Finnish, liplatus is the sound of water gently lapping the shore.
Yarn: Wollmeise DK (214 m / 234 yd per 100 g). Any yarn of fingering to DK weight will do, but I recommend yarn that is not too hairy or uneven to show the ridges.
Yardage: 200 g (428 m / 468 yd) or more.
Gauge: 15 sts and 25 rows per 10 cm in stockinette stitch, unblocked, but gauge is not crucial.
Needles: 6 mm / US 10, at least 80 cm / 32 inch long circular. You can also use straight needles if they are long enough.
Other supplies: 2 stitch markers and a darning needle for weaving in the ends.
