Beginning of Itu shawl (continental)
The video contains the beginning of the Itu shawl. It is worked in two-color brioche, with an i-cord edge that is worked at the same time as the rest of the shawl. Note that before the video, some rows of i-cord have already been knitted. (Video only, no audio included.)

I-cord bind-off for 2-color brioche (continental)
Binding off a shawl worked in two-color brioche. The i-cord edge has been worked at the same time as the rest of the shawl.
On the video I’m first turning the i-cord edge. Then I bind off the stitches of the shawl producing an i-cord on the bind-off edge. (Video only, no audio included.)

Grafting i-cord edge
The i-cord edge goes around the shawl and on this video the ends of the i-cord are joined by grafting. Note that the yarn has already been cut and the tail brought through a tapestry needle before the video begins. (Video only, no audio included.)

Centered double decrease, replacing marker (continental)
Centered double decrease, replacing marker: slip 1 as if to purl, remove marker, place the slipped stitch back on the left needle, place marker – the marker moved to the right by one stitch – slip 2 stitches together as if to knit, slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit the three slipped stitches together through the back loop. (Video only, no audio included.)

Left Leaning Double Increase
Left-leaning double increase: Work into same stitch (using only one color): Knit one, yarn over, knit left lifted increase.
(Left lifted increase: Insert left needle under and behind left leg of stitch one row below on right needle and knit it through back loop (without twisting).)
